Experience Lab is designed around a simple principle: your stories belong to you and stay on your device. This page explains, in plain language, what that means.

What we store, and where

Every experience you capture — the original text, the structured STAR record, your CV text, your drafted profile, and any onboarding progress — is stored only in your browser's local storage. It is not sent to our servers, and we do not keep a copy.

If you clear your browser data, use a different browser, or switch devices, your library will not be there. Use the Export feature in The Lab to keep a portable backup.

Accounts

Experience Lab does not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email, or any other identifying information. There is nothing to log into and nothing to log out of.

AI processing

When you capture an experience or paste a CV, the text you submit is sent to a third-party AI provider so it can be analysed and structured. The provider processes the text to return a response. We do not retain the text after the response is returned to your browser.

Avoid including information you would not want processed by an AI model (for example, confidential client data, government IDs, or personal data about other people).

Analytics

We use lightweight, anonymous analytics to understand how visitors interact with the app — for example, which pages are visited, which features are used, and how people navigate the interface. This data helps us improve the user experience and prioritise the features that matter most.

The analytics we collect do not include any personal content you enter (your stories, CV text, or drafted profile), and we do not use them to identify you personally or to show advertising.

Cookies

Experience Lab does not set tracking cookies. The app uses your browser's local storage to remember your stories and preferences; this data never leaves your device.

Your rights

Because we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. You can view, edit, export, or permanently delete any captured experience directly in The Lab. Clearing your browser's site data for this app removes everything.

Children

Experience Lab is intended for working professionals and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

If we change how the app handles data — for example, by introducing accounts or cloud sync — we will update this page and clearly communicate the change before any new data is collected.
